Where to go

When you come to Medellín, you should visit:

  • Comuna 13—It's known because it was once a dangerous neighborhood but now is a symbol of social transformation. The streets are colorful and full of graffiti art, and they give you tours explaining the history of this place.

  • El Castillo Museum—This is a castle with elegant gardens and art exhibits. You have to pay to enter there, but I assure you it is a wonderful experience and a beautiful place to have a picnic or take some pics.

  • Pueblito Paisa—A traditional Antioquia village replica located on top of Nutibara Hill. Here you have a view of the whole city.

  • Botanical Garden—You can go there for free, and it is a peaceful place to enjoy nature, a butterfly house, and lots of space for you to walk, relax and eat.

  • The Metro - Basically, Medellín´s pride. It is a public transport system but I would say is clean and efficient. Anyway, taking a ride gives you panoramic views of the mountains and the city
